Home of Hejaz50 v6 on 20th November 2020, between Usfan and Al Barzah, on a plateau 346m above sea-level, with Palm tree farms on either side of the plateau, in the valley.
Every weekend, dozen of Road Cyclists are storming by the Hejaz Ultra Hejaz50 v6 Basecamp during their training, riding around Moon Moutain / Eagle Rock.
About Al Barzah: is famous for agriculture, where there are more than a hundred farms and depend on the water of the surface wells that our ancestors dug with their hands and in their cooperation with each other and for free. And there is a feature that you rarely find in other similar places, which is the absence of barbed or other fences on Al Barza farms, they are open to the passerby and eat of them whatever he wants without charge so this was a direct reason for the abundance of livelihood and blessing because they are a generation that gives without limits seeking the wages of God, so God bless them with their money And their children, may God have mercy on them all, dwelt in spacious gardens.
Doom Palm: you got date! We’ll get to see the famous local Doum palm ( دوم) aka gingerbread tree aka doom palm. Their scientific name is Hyphaene Thebaica but all Hejaz Ultra veterans will agree that Doom Palm is so much more appropriate! More on this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyphaene_thebaica . Thank you, Yoyo for sharing this little known fact about Al Barzah, a hidden gem!
